Jamie Davis and his team provide a valuable service to the public and the Canadian economy by quickly clearing wreckage and maintaining proper traffic flow on major highways like the Coquihalla Highway. If that highway or Jamie Davis’ name sound familiar, you may have caught an episode of Highway Thru Hell, a show on the Discovery Channel that highlights what Jamie Davis and his team do each day on the rough and tough roads of British Columbia.
The Problem:
With such critical recovery operations on the line,
the reliability of mobile scene lighting is so important. Scene lighting used in the past often required the use of a generator that adds a considerable cost to run and takes up valuable truck space. In addition, previous equipment the team was using didn’t give off enough light and couldn’t elevate high enough to create the ideal environment for their towing and recovery operations, often creating unsafe conditions for both the team and the oncoming traffic.
The Solution:
The Will-Burt team went out to Hope, BC, to install 
the Night Scan® Powerlite with Profiler HDT with the latest upgrades—Night Scan® XL LED lamps that work straight from the trucks power system and give off 20,000 lumens of light per lamp. These powerful fixtures are up to the challenge of illuminating the often white and snowy highways of British Columbia. The team has experienced so many benefits from the new equipment, specifically in regards to safety and efficiency.
