Will-Burt’s Ohio manufacturing facilities meet ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System Standards
The Will-Burt Company’s manufacturing facilities located in Orrville, Ohio now operate an Environmental Management System which complies with the requirements of ISO 14001:2004. These manufacturing sites are primarily engaged in the grinding, welding, cutting, machining and painting of metal and composite materials and all have been inspected and certified by third-party auditor BSI to meet the requirements for decreasing environmental impact and risks.
James Keplar, Will-Burt’s Environmental Management Representative said, “The process of preparing our manufacturing procedures and facilities to become certified has enabled us to instill a culture of environmental responsibility. This has led to a reduced impact of our operations on the environment.”

The ISO14001:2004 standard is aimed at identifying and controlling an organization’s environmental impact and improving environmental performance. The standard defines environmental management certification criteria, and provides a framework and tools for achieving the standard’s objectives. Organizations certified to the standard affirm to their customers, employees, and stakeholders that their environmental impact is continuously being measured and improved.
